The moral decadence of this age cannot be more evidenced than by the deteriorating characteristics of our elected officials, including the president. We’ve gone from President George Washington, who would not tell a lie, to President Barack Obama, who seems not to be able to tell the truth.
Each day seems to bring a new whopper, to top the last one. There were several comments made by Obama this past month that begged the need for this story. Actually, from the YouTube video above, we see that Rep Joe Wilson was one of the first to state the obvious. No offense is intended in this article, it’s just important to set the record straight every once in a while.
1 – I’m the closest thing to a Jew that has ever sat in this office.
Despite the horrendous rivalry between Obama and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, which the president seems to have initiated, Obama told this to David Axelrod on the occasion of Obama’s interview with Israeli television, June 2, 2015
2 – Today, there’s no greater threat to our planet than climate change.
Despite all “authentic” meteorological data to the contrary and despite ISIS prowling around the Middle East taking over villages and beheading Christians, Obama made this claim on Earth Day, 2015. (See video below.)
3 – Today, the United States is the most respected country on earth.
Despite the fact that rogue nations, including Iran and Russia, disdain and manipulate the United States, and despite the fact that we’ve intentionally provoked all our allies, Obama made the claim during a discussion with Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Fellows at the White House, June 1, 2015.
See how journalists in the world react to Obama’s statement calling global warming the world’s greatest threat.
4 – The United States is “less racially divided” today.
Despite the White House and the Justice Department stoking the flames of racial violence in several key police cases, Obama said this to NPR on December 2014.
5- “Not a even smidgen of corruption” in the IRS scandal.
Despite incontrovertible evidence of the obstruction of justice and the IRS targeting of Christian conservative groups, Obama told this straight to Bill O’Reilly’s face on Fox’s O’Reilly Factor.
6- If you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance.
This one mis-truth could actually add up to several, since Obama also said, “you can keep your doctor,” “our premiums would go down,” and ad infinitum.
7 – We strengthened security at the borders so that we could finally stem the tide of illegal immigrants. We put more boots on the ground on the southern border than at any time in our history. And today, illegal crossings are down nearly 80 percent from their peak in 2000.
This brazen claim was on the White House website, January 29, 2013. It may very well be correct, in that the phrase “we put more boots on the ground on the southern border” may be referring to the boots of illegal aliens than of border patrol agents. And the phrase “illegal crossings are down” may be because the U.S. is not prosecuting them any more.
8 – Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency.
Despite the fact that no even the White House press reporters dispute this, Obama told this first to his staff on his first day in office and has continued telling this to the American people — whether they believe it or not.
9 – Benghazi was “not an act of terror” and it was provoked by a “YouTube video” that no one has seen.
Despite the fact that Obama had been told that it was an act of terrorism by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Martin Dempsey as it was happening! Meanwhile, four Americans were dead without any repercussions upon the attackers, nor any transparency or forthcoming from the White House. And no outcry from the Middle East about a silly YouTube video.
10 – I, Barack Hussein Obama, do solemnly swear that I will execute the office of president of the United States faithfully, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the constitution of the United States.
Despite the excessive overreach of his “pen and phone” and flagrant disregard to constitutional “checks and balances.” Nevertheless, this might be true if when he says execute, he actually means bludgeon, tarnish and destroy.
